Kites have been a favorite past time of ours since I can remember. Whenever we were on vacation, we found ourselves purchasing from a kite store on the Oregon and Washington coast.  Buying kites required a  5 hour drive away from home. We first opened shop at an open air market selling kites and windsocks. It didn't take long before we were looking for a location to open a full time, full service kite shop.  Now we find ourselves with a location loaded with kites and kiting.

Colors on the Wind just celebrated our 11th anniversary at our current location in Spokane, Washington. It seems that the time has gone by too quickly. We started our business in a 10' by 10' booth at an open air market in 1990 and later moved to our current location across the street from NorthTown Mall in Spokane, Washington. In that time, we have met countless people on the internet and in our kite store, and it is always a pleasure to share our love of kiting with new customers. 

We have on display a large selection of single line kites from miniature in size to 19 feet in width, and includes delta kites, parafoil, box kites, conynes, ship, airplane, bird, butterfly shapes and much more. We have stunt kites for all skill levels from beginner to advanced, quad line, ultralight, 2 and 4 line parafoil and power kites for your land-based traction needs.  Also in stock is a complete line of line and winders for the single line flyers and the multi line flyers as well. We have a large supply of parts and can repair almost all of your kites ailments. We also carry a large selection of decorative flags in both the garden size and the larger flags, wind socks, wind spinners, air toys, yo-yos from beginner to advanced, outdoor decor, windwheels, sky laundry, bamboo wind chimes and more items for the kite flyer.
